SB 926 Support One-Pager – Reward Patients Who Choose High-Value, Lower-Cost Health Care
TAHP supports Senate Bill 926, which removes outdated regulatory barriers that prevent insurers from offering lower out-of-pocket costs to patients who choose higher-value care. SB 926 builds on the success of HB 711 by empowering insurers to share provider quality and cost data, create shopping incentives, and design benefits in patients’ best interests. With federal transparency rules in place, Texas should modernize its laws to help more patients engage in value-driven health care decisions.
