The 2016 TAHP Managed Care Conference & Trade Show:
The Value of Health Coverage

This year’s conference, “The Value of Health Coverage,” features a high-level roster of dynamic speakers who will be coming together to brainstorm and discuss ways to achieve greater value, affordability, transparency, and accessibility in health care. We’ll be taking a closer look at the value of health care: why it matters, what consumers are looking for when they make their health care decisions, and what steps we as an industry can be taking to enhance the value of health care and the entire experience for Texas consumers. We will hear from experts on the status of the Affordable Care Act, what lies ahead for the landmark health reform law, and how future changes to the law will impact health plans and the Texans we serve. We will also hear from a number of industry leaders on some of the most pressing issues we are facing today, including the growing trend of surprise medical bills and out-of-network challenges, rising prescription drug costs, the opioid epidemic, mental health parity, new Medicaid managed care rules, and more. Speakers from states that have already successfully navigated some of our industry’s top challenges will share their best practices, and some of the leading lawmakers and agency leaders in Texas will preview the upcoming legislative session and issues they will be considering that have a direct impact on Texas health plans and the Medicaid program.

Please make plans now to join us for this important event!
